It is predicted that there occur three distinct types of flow in the channel depending upon the Reynolds number, which are symmetric steady, asymmetric steady and asymmetric time periodic flows. Pressure distribution along the center line of the channel is evaluated numerically. Especially, the pressure difference across the expanded and contracted part of the channel is investigated in detail.
