A proper value gamma should be determined numerically in the computation. The value gamma, representing the magnitude of the circulation in a normalized sense, is characterized with the aid of the conformal mapping for the wing in this paper. The conformal mapping for the wing is the mapping which maps conformally the whole exterior domain of the wing onto the whole exterior domain of the unit circle. A few numerical results are reported for NACA23012 wing and Karman-Trefftz wing. The results work as numerical evidence for the validity of the characterization. A procedure for numerical determination of the mapping through finite element computation is also
