Wind tunnel experiments were done for the flow around a square cylinder at Re equal to 100. Low speed calibration of the hot-wire was carried out using the readout of a commercial low speed anemometer (Kanomax 1621). The magnitude of fluctuation at immediate behind the square cylinder is much smaller than that obtained numerically.
