Therefore, for the purpose of greatly increasing mixing capability, the present authors proposed to use unstable streamwise vortices, which are axisymmetric under annular in vorticity distribution and greatly increasing mixing capability. The instability characteristics of proposed vortex was investigated on the basis of inviscid compressible stability analysis for various combinations of circumferential wave numbers, Mach numbers and vorticity distribution assuming temporal growth.
