It was shown that the magnitude of such fluctuations increased as the length of straight channel set in front of the concave channel increased. The experiments were carried out by three straight channels of 200 mm, 800 mm and 1,600 mm in length. The relation between the fluctuation behaviour and the turbulence intensity of the free stream flow in the straight channel were
