An acoustics field in inner or exterior problems of harmonic vibration is governed by the Helmholtz equation. It can be solved by a boundary condition and an initial condition being given. Unknown values of acoustic pressure on the boundary are analyzed by the boundary element method using boundary conditions. After this procedure, the values of acoustic pressure at the inside point can be calculated from those of the boundary. This procedure allowed substantial saving of memory. Analysis with a personal computer became possible. According to these results, it was shown that the calculations can be carried out sufficiently with a small computer in spite of the small memory capacity.
