It is shown that the amplitude of the Tollmien-Schlichting (T-S) waves which develop downstream can be controlled by changing the distance between the two-dimensional elements. When single roughness element is on the surface of the flat-plate, the results of the numerical simulation show that the amplitude of the generated T-S wave is a function of the roughness width.
