Chofu Aerospace Center, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)(CAC)), Chofu, Tokyo, Japan, 石垣島天文台は日本の西南端に位置する国立天文台の観測研究施設である。石垣島は日本本土より10度以上緯度が南にあり、黄道や赤道付近にある天体の観測に適したサイトである。石垣島天文台のむりかぶし望遠鏡は九州・沖縄地方では最大の口径(105cm)を持つ光学・赤外線望遠鏡で、カセグレン焦点にはMITSuME3色同時撮像カメラが搭載されている。石垣島天文台では光・赤外線天文学大学間連携やMITSuMEプロジェクトによるガンマ線バーストなどの突発天体観測が行われる一方で、サイト条件の良さを活かした太陽系天体の観測が推進されている。また、近年では人工衛星・地球接近天体に関しても積極的な観測を行っている。本発表では石垣島天文台の望遠鏡や観測装置について紹介するとともに、近年の人工衛星・地球接近天体の観測成果について報告する。, The Ishigakijima Astronomical Observatory is one of the research institutes of National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, which is located on Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture. Ishigaki Island located in the southwest corner of Japan is the appropriate site for the observation of objects near the celestial equator and the ecliptic. The Murikabushi 105-cm telescope is the largest in the Kyushu/Okinawa area. MITSuME (Multicolor Imaging Telescopes for Survey and Monstrous Explosions) tricolor simultaneous imaging system is mounted on the Cassegrain focus. Observations of transient objects such as gamma-ray burst afterglows are promoted with the domestic collaborations of OISTER (Optical and Infrared Synergetic Telescopes for Education and Research) and MITSuME project. On the other hand, the observations of comets and minor planets are also performed. In recent years, the satellites and the near-Earth objects have been actively observed.
