In this test, the effects of higher harmonic control (HHC) and active flap control (AFC) on rotor blade-vortex interaction (BVI) noise were investigated. The frequency of the control was 20 Hz (2/rev), and the amplitudes of HHC and AFC were +/- 2.0 deg and +/- 15.0 deg, respectively. The phase of control was changed at intervals of 45 deg. Two types of BVI were tested. The one is the parallel vortex interaction using the vortex generator upstream of a non-lifting rotor. The other is self-generated vortex interaction of a lifting rotor.
