A protuberance was set upstream from the model on the upper and lower nozzle wall. As a result, it was found that the shock wave by the protuberance induced a decelerated area around the model and reduced more than 20% of the starting load of normal force at a Mach number of 3.0. This deceleration by the shock wave from the protuberance was confirmed by pressure of the model surface.
