Impact experiments (v(sub i) = 100-700 m/s) were carried out by the collision between a spherical ice projectile (1.5 g) and a snow plate (porosity 64 percent) at variable plate thickness (0.3-4 cm). Rear surface velocities of the plate ejected from the impact point were measured by using an image-converter camera. Rear surface velocities of the plate decreased with increasing distance from the impact point and angle from the impact direction. Two-dimensional distribution of particle velocities in the plate was reconstructed using free surface approximation. In comparison with the previous works on the snow (porosity 30 percent), pressure attenuation derived from the particle velocity distribution varied from spherical one to elliptical one with a long axis along the impact direction with decreasing v(sub i) or increasing porosity., 資料番号: AA0063352008}, pages = {29--32}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究本部, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA/ISAS)}, title = {Measurements of particle velocities in the shock compressed snow plates}, year = {1995} }
