JAXA plans to launch the first test satellite in super-low altitude called SLATS. Such satellites use ion thrusters to compensate for air drag and keep their altitude. However, there are a lot of atomic oxygen in super-low earth orbit. The dispenser cathodes generally show degradation by oxidation. Therefore, the effect of atomic oxygen for the hollow-cathode was evaluated here. First, the electron emission test and physical analyses were conducted using pellet samples of cathode parts. Secondly, the discharge test was conducted using a dummy cathode whose parts can be replaced. The results show that no degradation occurs with appropriate operations in orbit., 資料番号: AC1500021000, レポート番号: JSASS-2014-4076}, publisher = {日本航空宇宙学会(JSASS), The Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences (JSASS)}, title = {中型イオンエンジン用陰極の原子状酸素耐性評価}, year = {2014} }
