The cooling system for the SPICA telescope and the focal plane instruments consists of mechanical cryocoolers and passive radiative cooling system without no cryogen. Therefore, high reliability and cooling performance for mechanical cryocoolers based on the existing ones is technically essential. The 20K double-staged Stirling cooler and the 4K-class Joule Thomson cooler is almost completed in the EM (Engineering Model) development phase and the FM (Flight Model) fabrication and verification test phase is being conducted in the ASTRO-H (2015) project, while the 1K-class Joule Thomson cooler is in the EM fabrication and verification test phase in the framework of the JAXA strategic component program. This paper describes the latest development status of the SPICA mechanical
