Especially for the reusable rocket engine combustor, it is important to develop an effective nondestructive inspection technique to assure its life. JAXA/ISAS developed a reusable LOX/LH2 rocket engine for the Reusable Sounding Rocket and conducted 142 times of engine firings. In the series of firing tests, 4 times of nondestructive inspection of the combustion chamber was carried out using a high-energy X-ray CT system of Hitachi, Ltd.
