The mission of ETS-6 is to establish the bus technology necessary for realizing a two-ton-class geosynchronous three-axis stabilized application satellite. The National Aerospace Laboratory is participating in the on-orbit flight experiments of ETS-6 for the system identification and attitude control. Numerical simulation software have been developed and used to check the on-board control algorithm before launch.
