This system was replaced in 1990-1992. The reconstructed blower is the 8,000 kW axial compressor with adjustable stator blades. Thereby, the blower controls aspirate itself in the air from the perforated test section. During the replacement, efforts were made to increase its energy efficiency, to simplify the total system, and to accomplish the automatic control of Mach number. This report describes the operation and maintenance of the old system and the design, construction and initial test results of the new
