The result of such perturbations was investigated both cases of with and without a free surface. The free surface case was an experiment on Marangoni convection. It turned out that the free surface was particularly sensitive to g-jitter, with the result that observing the fluid flow was quite difficult. The case without a free surface is a preliminary run of an experiment planned to be flown on the 1994 IML-2 mission. It was observed that the test fluid rotated together with rotations of the
