Tower Hall Funabori), Tokyo, Japan, The reed-valve air-breathing system was developed to improve air-breathing performance of the microwave rocket. Air-breathing performance test was conducted using a gyrotron. Pressure history in the thruster was measured and plateau pressure was evaluated. Air-flow through the reed valve was estimated by using CFD model assuming Bernoulli-Euler beam as the reed valve.
