A elastic-rolling mode may be involved in the dynamic characteristics at the launching configuration of this vehicle which is attached to the H-2 rocket. Flutter experiments of a HOPE-like configuration model were made in a transonic wind tunnel. As a result, a wing bending-torsional mode flutter occurred in anti-symmetric mode. It was observed that the flutter occurred at lower dynamic pressure in the case of elastic support for roll than in the roll-free case.
