The test confirmed that the system works well in both design and off-design conditions, resulting in significant drag reduction in a wake drag with even a small amount of suction. Besides the drag reducing effect, it was found that the system produces considerable lift increase for some suction quantity ranges in a wide range of test Mach number. The lift increment generates a higher L/D (overall wing Lift/overall wing Drag) value than that which may be expected from the drag reduction
