All experiments progressed satisfactory as scheduled except for some of trajectory experiments discontinued because of the equipment's absorbance detector defect. Mixed protein solutions (composed of two or three proteins) were used as a sample for the experiments. Because the absorbance data were not transmitted to the ground, the preliminary experiment was omitted and the formal experiment was conducted twice. The fractions of electrophoretic samples were collected, stored in a refrigerator, and recovered. After returning to the Earth, the collected samples were delivered to the laboratory and analyzed to compare the isolation power between under normal and microgravity. The result did not show remarkable improved isolation power under microgravity. However, it also showed the obvious difference in the ability. This may be because the effects of confusion by thermal convection or diffusion is reduced, but not eliminated on the ground. This experiment does not indicate remarkably greater isolation power under microgravity than normal gravity. Analyzing the flow of a buffer solution and samples, heat distribution, and electroosmosis in the electrophoresis tank is necessary through further space experiments and equipment
