The experiments in orbit progressed satisfactory as scheduled. Prolonged flight allowed us to add a experiment. Cooperation between the scientists on board and on the ground worked smoothly. The experiments were completed without serious failure, except for an absorbance detection system defect of the equipment on board. Three variants of Salmonella typhimurium were used as a cell material model. Because absorbance data on orbit were not transmitted, preliminary experiments were discontinued and formal experiments were conducted two times at 200 V and one time at 300 V. Each experiment's fractionated samples were stored in a refrigerator until returning to the Earth. The collected sample analysis on the ground showed no definite absorbance peak in the 200 V electrophoresis experiment. This is probably because of insufficient sample movement and sample dilution during electrophoresis. The 300 V experiment showed the change in absorbance. Measuring live bacterium number revealed two definite peaks, which were related to three kinds of bacteria. Another peak is related to the remaining one bacterium. These space experiment results indicate that, unlike ground experiments, at least two of the three bacteria theoretically moved and were isolated. The lack of thermal convection in micro gravitational field, which is inevitable on the ground, may result in these results. The purpose of this experiment was achieved to some extent. However, the results are not sufficient, and further space experiments are necessary until concluding that isolation power in micro gravitational field is better than that on the
