The objectives of this experiment were: (1) To make a preliminary inspection of the influence of the new model supporting system on the main flow; (2) to collect data of the static ground effect; and (3) to collect data of the dynamic ground effect. A robot designed for general industrial use was employed as a tool for model support. The merits of utilizing the robot in our experiment was not only to raise the efficiency of the static measurements but also to make it possible to collect the dynamic data in the ground effect test. Comparison between results from static and dynamic tests showed that the amount of the dynamic ground effect is no more than the static
