They are trailing edge stall, leading edge stall, and thin airfoil stall. There are three well-known airfoils which exhibit those three types of stall, respectively. Flow-fields around each airfoils has been computed using the well established standard CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software and a turbulence model. A fine grid distribution was prepared for the computation. It is about ten times as fine as the usual grid distribution in xi direction for these-day common practice. The result shows that the present CFD can roughly predict those types of stall. It has been also clearly recognized that such fine grid resolution requires further investigation on a grid generation process as well as simulation parameters to utilize the CFD
