The NLAM78 was originally designed as a transonic NLF airfoil with the design Mach number of 0.78 whose aerodynamic characteristics for Mach numbers between 0.6 and 0.85 were reported in references 1 and 2. Lift and drag coefficients as well as surface pressure distribution were measured at wind velocities V infinity of 20, 40 and 60 m/s for various angles of attack. The characteristics of NLF airfoil were weakly observed at low speeds.
