| 内容記述 | This document summarizes the latest information on debris-related issues and proposals for further tasks as a result of efforts expended by the 'NASDA Space Debris Study Group' (hereafter 'Debris Study Group') since its inauguration in 1993. The 'Debris Study Group' has so far held a total of eighteen meetings at six-month intervals up until May 1999, since its establishment was approved by the then Program Planning and Management Conference of NASDA on August 5, 1993. It has promoted the coordination of debris-related projects, the exchange of survey and study results, review of actions for debris-related international conferences, and joint efforts with overseas organizations. The 'Debris Study Group' is composed of the representatives of a wide range of NASDA's organizational functions that are directly or indirectly concerned with debris issues. They include the Planning Department, International Affairs Department, Safety and Reliability Control Department, Satellite Systems Headquarters, Earth Observation Systems Headquarters, Space Transportation Systems Headquarters, Space Environment Utilization Systems Headquarters, Technical Research Headquarters, and Technical Information Center (each described in the current function names). The services and responsible functions of NASDA that mutually exchanged information and coordinated efforts at each 'Debris Study Group' meeting are as follows: (1) Secretariat Office of the NASDA Space Debris Study Group (Program Planning and Management Department during the period August 1993 through June 1996, which was succeeded by the Tracking Network Engineering Department); (2) Research and development of on-ground space debris observation system (Satellite Systems Headquarters); (3) Study of in-orbit space debris observation system (Technical Research Headquarters); (4) Development of space environment models including debris (Technical Research Headquarters); (5) Preparation of debris generation prevention standards (Safety and Reliability Control Department); (6) Implementation of debris generation prevention measures and examinations of related matters (Safety and Reliability Control Department, Satellite Systems Headquarters, Earth Observation Systems Headquarters, and Space Transportation Systems Headquarters); (7) Study of JEM debris protection measures (Space Environment Utilization Systems Headquarters); (8) Study of legal aspects of debris (Planning Department and International Affairs Department); (9) Review of technical information on debris (Technical Information Center) | |||||||||
