The numerical test suggests that as far as mean flow prediction is concerned, our computer code is adequate for Stirling burner design purposes. For further improvement in prediction accuracy of turbulence, the constants used in a standard two-equation turbulence model need to be modified for high temperature swirling flows with recirculation.
