The implicit approximate factorization algorithm proposed by Beam and Warming has been used to obtain numerical solutions. Implicit boundary conditions arc also applied to the body and shock wave surfaces, which enable the numerical scheme to be stable and robust. Grid systems orthogonal to the body surface can be generated by the fast conformal transformations. In this report, calculations have been made for the flow around bluff bodies, indented blunt bodies and rockets in order to investigate aerothermodynamic characteristics.
