However, the large wake behind a road vehicle necessitates more elaborate computational techniques for the selection of turbulence model, boundary condition, etc. In this paper, the effects of boundary conditions on the numerical turbulent flow around a road vehicle are preliminarily analyzed using the finite difference mthod and the kappa - epsilon turbulence model.
