Flow around a wing in ground effect is studied by solving both the incompressible and compressible Navier-Stokes equations numerically. Standard MAC method with third order upwind difference for non-linear term is used to calculate incompressible flow. For compressible flow, a new numerical scheme is developed. Both scheme run well and we can investigate numerically the effect of the distance from the ground, that of attack angle and that of the oscillation of the wing, on the flow field and the force acting on the body. |
