However, before using CFD for such purposes, verification of the CFD code is necessary. In the present study, a flux-split upwind TVD Navier-Stokes code has been applied to the hypersonic flow around space planes proposed by National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL). Numerical results are compared with experiments in hypersonic wind tunnel at NAL and accuracy and reliability of the present code are examined.
