The parallel computer of this paper, a multi CPU computer system, consists of three Transputers made by INMOS of the UK. In unsteady flows of rarefied gas, an ensemble average process is essential to reduce the fluctuation of macroscopic quantities after a number of independent DSMC routines are executed. Therefore, in this paper the ensemble average process is paralleled. The acceleration rate of the parallel processing by the present scheme and system is 2.995, and the efficiency of the process is 0.998.
