A power law scheme, the control volume method is used inside the computational domain. In this study, Dean number, which is based upon the inlet bulk velocity, curvature ratio is from 100 to 500, and an aspect ratio of the duct is 1.0 and the curvature ratio is 10.0. Developing flow has a one-pair vortex secondary flow with Dean number 100, but in the case of Dean number 500, it has a two-pair vortex flow pattern at higher degree regions than 65 degrees from the duct inlet, which is caused by centrifugal force instability. Experimental data of Hille et al., is compared with the computer calculations and it has a good agreement with experimental results, except the inlet and the outlet region of the curved duct. This reason is considered that our inlet velocity is different from the experiment and we assume that the duct flow has a symmetric characteristics.
