Waseda University, International Conference Center), Tokyo Japan, Modification approach of a CFD surface mesh are examined using measurement data of wind tunnel model deformation, Model deformation measurements (MDM) were successfully made at JAXA using stereo photogrammetry with markers. The model's deformation was then approximated using a deformation law which is identified by a few parameters with markers attached on the wind tunnel model. This approach was developed by Le Sant to correct the model deformation effect in pressure-sensitive paint (PSP) images. In this paper, the approach is used to rearrange the CFD surface mesh of a CFD model to conform its configuration with that of the wind tunnel test model. We duplicate the deformed configuration of the wind tunnel model using three deformation laws and examine the resulting CFD models.
