Both the variation of the boundary-layer thickness with distance downstream and the normal component of the velocity of the basic steady flow are taken into consideration for solution of the equation for mean-flow distortion. Numerical calculations are carried out for a range of values of frequency and Reynolds number. The results are exhibited in the form of a stability diagram for finite disturbances, which is found to be similar to that for the plane Poiseuille flow.
