The six wings, consisting of three non-swept wings, two 30 deg swept wings and one 45 deg swept wing, are designed in order to study the structural efficiency of wing structures, with different structural indices, and the effect of a sweptback angle on the ultimate strength. A procedure for predicting the ultimate strength of a wing structure under a simple loading condition is presented.
