| 内容記述 | Research on a high thrust-to-weight ratio lift-jet engine for V/STOL aircraft has been under way since 1963 at the National Aerospace Laboratory, and in 1964 the lift-jet engine JR100 was completed as the first step in the program to develop a light-weight lift-jet engine. This engine was developed for the purpose of providing power to satisfy the vertical thrust requirement of V/STOL aircraft, and was designed to have a permanent air-bleed fed to auxiliary jets located at the aircraft extremities. These jets apply corrective pitching, rolling and yawing moments in low-speed flight. After making many improvements on the first model JR100, two sets of JR100H were produced and have been used for tests of height control systems of V/STOL aircraft since 1966. The thrust-to-weight ratio of the JR100 series engines is about 10:1. Further development of a JR200 series with lighter weight and heigher performance is in progress. This report describes the outline of research and development of JR100 series and JR200 series engines. | |||||||||
