This scheme employs, as unknowns, quantities of order of square of time spacing, thus making an algorithm of the ”δ2-form”, of which the right hand side is a numerical approximation of unsteady governing equations. This algorithm makes a scheme especially suitable for time accurate simulations. A shock tube flow is calculated as an example.
