This simulator enables the development of enhanced compiler technology and user programming skills, while also advancing data acquisition for the development of new vector computers. Both the VP series′ hardware and operations are discussed, with the corresponding VTAP functions and simulation contents being explained. VTAP simulation accuracy was investigated by comparing the VTAP estimated program processing time with the measured time in the VP400 and VP200 models.
