Accurate solutions were obtained for a Dean number up to 550 by using the power-law scheme, whereas up to 900 using the up-wind scheme. Numerical results were compared with available experimental and theoretical results, and it was subsequently determined that the friction factor is approximately 6% larger when the secondary flow changes from a two vortex to a four vortex pattern(Dean Number=116). In addition, the friction factor's slope was found to be different in the two and four vortex regions.
