In the frame of the ALOS-RA-94 project we evaluated ALOS PALSAR differential SAR interferometry as a tool for land surface deformation monitoring with the main focus on mining subsidence, landslides, volcanic and seismic motion. The use of L-band SAR is particularly attractive for this application because of the expected reduced temporal decorrelation over vegetated areas. |
