The joints in this study were composed of carbon/epoxy composites and titanium alloys with ITRO treatment. Two approaches, namely, forming grooves on titanium alloy substrates and thickening composite substrates, were applied. As a result of lap shear strength tests, the joint strength did not increase when grooves were introduced on the bonding surfaces of the titanium alloy substrates.
