The Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences : Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Online meeting), In order to understand the noise generation due to interactions between the side-brace wake and the gear-bay shear-layer of the main landing gear, a simple numerical flow analysis on a rectangular open cavity including a circular cylinder is conducted by using two-dimensional laminar flow computations. The results show that modification of the cylinder location relative to the cavity leading edge drastically changes the oscillation modes and frequency characteristics of the cavity flow.
