Space Apps is a hackathon event that utilizes satellite data to solve global issues. In response to the expansion of COVID-19, the SpaceApps COVID-19 was urgently held in May 2020. This COVID-19 event is a virtual hackathon event for COVID-19 countermeasures utilizing satellite data. In Japan, the organizers of past SpaceApps events played a role in supporting this COVID-19 event for participants in the Japanese region.
