By sharing experimental data and comparing the CFD results independently obtained with the respective in-house CFD solvers, both partners aim at validating and assessing the current unsteady CFD methods for buffet prediction. The sensitivities to numerical schemes, turbulence models, grid resolution and temporal integration parame-ters are analyzed at different levels of fidelity, for both URANS and ZDES calculations. Based on the lessons learnt from this collaborative work, some best-practice recommendations and standing challenges for turbulent transonic buffet prediction are
