By integrating all the data taken for > 1.5 years, we estimate that about 1,300 Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) will be detected in the 3-20 keV band with the Gas Slit Cameras from extragalactic sky at Galactic latitudes higher than 15 deg. The MAXI survey will achieve the best sensitivity for populations of moderately absorbed AGNs among any all sky X-ray missions, and is complementary to ROSAT all sky survey and hard X-ray (> 10 keV) surveys by the Swift and INTEGRAL satellites. Many "transient" AGNs could be newly detected with MAXI. In this paper, we discuss the scientific significance of the MAXI survey., 資料番号: AA0064306033, レポート番号: JAXA-SP-08-014E}, pages = {166--167}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)}, title = {Extragalactic survey with MAXI}, volume = {JAXA-SP-08-014E}, year = {2009} }
