It contains 246,897 detections drawn from 3491 public XMM-Newton observations, which relate to 191,870 unique sources. The time variability, as well as spectrum, has been studied for the sources that have reasonable statistics, numbering 38,320 detections. Here we present the highlight of the 2XMM catalogue, in particular the time variability of the point sources, and discuss the potential future study with the X-ray monitoring instrument, MAXI., 著者人数: 14名, Physical characteristics: Original contains color illustrations, 資料番号: AA0064306039, レポート番号: JAXA-SP-08-014E}, pages = {196--200}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)}, title = {The 2XMM catalogue and variability of X-ray sources}, volume = {JAXA-SP-08-014E}, year = {2009} }
