To follow the vision, JAXA started several studies. Recently, in order to contribute the studies, we calculated radiation exposure dose on the lunar surface by using a radiation transportation code, PHITS, developed by Koji Niita (Research organization for Information Science and Technology) et. al. As a result of the calculation, the effective dose equivalent under 10 g/sq cm shielding in the solar minimum condition is around 0.55 mSv/day and one in the solar flare worst day condition is around 70 mSv/day. On the other hand, the effective dose without shielding in the solar minimum condition is around 0.71 mSv/day and one in the solar flare worst day condition is around 4,000 mSv/day. This suggests that the shielding design and the radiation exposure management will be very important for the lunar base design., 資料番号: AA0049500034, レポート番号: JAXA-SP-06-006}, title = {PHITSを用いた月面における放射線被曝線量の計算}, year = {2006} }
