There two aims of this research that to perform the solidification theme selected in first international announcement of opportunity 2000. And the other is processing a new metastable phase and to imply a function on the phase. The research items were the processing of spherical single-crystal silicon, the free solidification of metallic single-phase and double-phase alloys by using the Electromagnetic Levitator (EML) and the Electrostatic Levitator (ESL), dielectric properties of hexagonal BaTiO3 processed by using ESL, and new metastable phases of the titanium oxide
