This point may also be considered as a gateway for interplanetary transfer. This paper focuses on the initial portion of the interplanetary transfer that is the escape from the Earth gravity leaving from the L2 libration point. It is shown that a two-impulse escape, which assumes Delta v s at L2 and the subsequent perigee point, provides an effective means with low Delta v compared with a one-impulse escape strategy assuming
